A Short Reflection

I'm waiting on our pictures from my professional photographer before I start recaps of our wedding.  It's been just a few days over 2 weeks, so I expect them any day now.  (Do I have to tell you how much I am looking forward to seeing them!?!?)

In the meantime, I will tell you this:  It was an incredible experience.  The day, starting with the weather, and ending with cake, couldn't have been more perfect.  All of my vendors, as expected were completely AH-MAZING, the weather was sunny and beautiful without being too hot, the groomsmen pulled it together to help Keith have one of the funnest days I think he's had in a long time, and my girls, my little team of bridesmaids were such troopers.  Two of them drove in from out of town- waaaaaaaaaaay out of town, and two of them are pregnant!  They were such good friends to hang in there all day, while we snapped photo after photo in the sun, on the boardwalk.

The chapel, which I was seriously on the fence about even after reserving the space, was nothing short of beautiful.  We couldn't have picked a better time of day.  The sun was at the perfect point in the sky and as I stepped inside to walk down the aisle, I can remember (one of the many thoughts going through my head at that moment) was how beautiful the light was.  I know it sounds cheesey, but the sun pouring through the windows at just the right angle really did make it glow in there.  Our minister was fantastic and funny and kept us feeling confident and relaxed the whole time.  When it was time to 'kiss the bride' and walk back down the aisle I remember laughing and laughing, and at one point screaming WOOH! (Mostly out of relief that the hardest part was over, but also out of pure elation.)  AND- on point, at the precise moment I asked him, our DJ queued up All You Need Is Love by the Beatles for us to recess to.  The moment we turned around to face the crowd the beginning notes of the song were playing.  It couldn't have been more perfect.

So, until I get the professional photos, I'll end it here.

Just know this: if I could do it all again, I would.  In heartbeat.  Without hesitation.
